• Avoid NSAIDS such as Aspirin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin, Nuprin, Aleve, Celebrex, Fish Oil, Gingko Biloba, St. John’s Wort, and High doses of Vit E 7-10 days before and on the day of procedure.

• Inform your provider if you are on any blood thinners prior to your treatment.

Post-Treatment

• Avoid rubbing and massaging the treated area for 24 hours.

• Avoid strenuous physical activity for the first 1-3 days, as suggested by your provider.

• Avoid applying make-up for 24 hours.

• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours.

• Avoid facials for 2 weeks after treatment, as suggested by your provider.

• Sit upright for the first 4 hours.

• Avoid sleeping on treated area for the first 24 hours, as suggested by your provider.

• Redness, tingling, and some swelling is typical for the first 24 hours.

• Ask your provider about medication you can take for discomfort.

• If you get a bruise, topical Arnica can help.

• Seek immediate medical help if you experience these rare side effects: trouble swallowing, breathing, speaking, muscle weakness, or vision changes.
